Melisa Sue Stanley

Melissa Sue Stanley lives and works as a full-time artist in the Albany Park neighborhood of Chicago. She's currently exploring the themes of a classic Midwest summer in drawings, paintings, and sculpture. Memories of cicadas, storms, and dandelions are captured in this new work. Melissa is self-taught, and continues study at various figure drawing sessions at local art studios in the city. With her partner, Max Bare, Melissa also creates comics for a local brewery, and manages the Chicago Drink & Draw Social Club.
